Smoothhounds and Smiles: A Cracking Day Offshore
Double-figure smoothhounds were the stars of the show, putting on express-train performances that left arms aching and reels screaming. There’s nothing like the raw power of a big hound when it kicks off – and we had several of them bending rods throughout the day.
The action didn’t stop there. Colin bagged himself a spirited tope, while Joe added a tidy bass to round off a lively mixed bag. With the weather on side and a crew full of positive energy, it was one of those trips that remind us why we love fishing these marks.
