Brothers, Smoothhounds, and a Winning Catch

Last week saw another brilliant trip with Paul’s regular party aboard Neverland, this time joined by two brothers and their dad. From the moment we dropped anchor, the lads got stuck in – carefully taking on advice, building confidence, and soon casting baits into the fast-running tide like they’d been doing it for years.

As always with this crew, there was a bit of friendly rivalry in the form of a side bet for the biggest fish. The two brothers had no idea that one of their smoothhounds would end up taking the prize, giving them bragging rights for the day and plenty of smiles to go with it.

Paul himself bounced back from a quieter session last time out, putting together an impressive haul that he shared alongside his cousin and friends. Between the competition, the laughs, and the variety of fish landed, it was the kind of day that reminds us why fishing trips are about more than just what you catch – it’s the shared experience that makes it memorable.
